On Saturday 21st July the Group had its usual exhibition of members' photos at the Beaulieu Fete in the grounds of Palace House. The display looked superb and really showcased the wide range of images taken by practically every member of the Group. It was a popular attraction and was visited by over 300 people. Visitors to the exhibition were asked to choose their favourite print. After a nail-biting finish, the winner was Greg Holmes with his stunning shot of a small owl perched on a branch, surrounded by bluebells. "Little Owl in the Bluebells" was taken at Micheldever Woods. Congratulations to Greg, who will be awarded the Bob Grier Trophy. Second place was shared between Alan Orme with "White-faced Heron" and Megan Stephenson with "Mystery Door".
This year the fete was opened by Dominic and Stephanie Parker, of "Gogglebox" fame. As guests of honour, they were invited to select their favourite photograph and they finally decided on Alan Price's "Trees at Goatee". Alan will receive a bottle of bubbly as his prize.
