BCGs PDI of the Year 2021 took place on 1st December with Jon Mitchell of Gosport Camera Club as our judge for the event. Sixty eight images had each been awarded a Seal of Merit at the five competitions held during 2021, including the set subject of "Water" and these vied for the PDI of the Year Trophy, 2nd and 3rd places and Highly Commended awards.

Jon's appraisal of the images was excellent with a good deal of consideration given to the merits of each image. He explained the reasoning behind his comments and why some just missed out out being selected for the awards. Jon commented on the high quality of all the Seal Winners and what a hard task he had in choosing the final ones.

First place and the winner of the PDI of the Year Trophy was awarded to Ian Hutchinson for his image "Silver-studded Blues".
