Beaulieu Camera Group's 3rd Scavenger Hunt took place on the evening of 12th June around Lymington. Members met in the Angel Courtyard, formed teams of four and searched the town looking for images to take as part of their total entry of 10 subjects. The teams named themselves as follows: "Beaulieu Seekers", "Confused and Compare", "Rage" and "Southern Exposure".

The subjects were: "Something Old, Something New", "Geometry", "Pink or Purple", "High Key", "Zoom Effect", "From a Dog's Perspective", "Something Soft", "Door Furniture", "Smaller Than Your Thumb" and "Reflections in a Window".

The Teams spent the first part of the evening finding and photographing the images. Afterwards, they met at the Mayflower Hotel for refreshments and the teams chose their ten images which were uploaded onto the MacBook. There were a couple of issues with problematic SD cards, but Ian Hutchinson once again made a great job putting them into separate folders ready to be scored at the competition on 19th June.

The images were all "as taken" as jpegs with no post processing at all. Each set of images for each subject were shown as PDIs with the judge for the event Sue Dunham, critiqueing each image. They were placed in order from 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th and the cumulative scores were added together to give a total overall score. The images were excellent and showed the proficiency and skill of our members in producing such good results straight from the camera.

After a very close competition, the winning team was "Rage" made up of Alan Fisher, Gordon Garrett, Edna Phillips and Rob Snellgrove, who were each awarded a pack of Maltesers.

Here are the winnings team's images:
