Beaulieu Camera Group's PDI of the Year competition took place on 3rd  December. All the images which had received a Seal of Merit at the five PDI competitions during the year were eligible to take part.

Our judge for the event was Glyn Paton ARPS CPAGB from Winchester Photographic Society who has visited BCG on many occasions and we always look forward to seeing him. Glyn remarked on how highly the standard of the nature images  from Beaulieu Camera Group is regarded.

Glyn had the unenviable task of assessing the fifty six images and selecting the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners and choosing some Highly Commendeds. The images were not scored but given a critique by Glyn with very good explanations as to his reasoning behind his decisions. Glyn "held back" sixteen images for further consideration before choosing his final selections.

The winner of the PDI of the Year trophy was Ian Park for "Glass".
