Our judge for the event was Glyn Paton ARPS CPAGB from Winchester Photographic Society who has visited BCG on many occasions and we always look forward to seeing him. Glyn remarked on how highly the standard of the nature images from Beaulieu Camera Group is regarded.
Glyn had the unenviable task of assessing the fifty six images and selecting the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners and choosing some Highly Commendeds. The images were not scored but given a critique by Glyn with very good explanations as to his reasoning behind his decisions. Glyn "held back" sixteen images for further consideration before choosing his final selections.
The winner of the PDI of the Year trophy was Ian Park for "Glass".

In 2nd Place was "Blue Tit in Autumn" by Emma Port.
.
3rd Place was awarded to "The Hooded Man" by Rob Snellgrove LRPS..

Glyn awarded Highly Commended Certificates to the following:
Bob Abbott "A Passing Glance" and "Bearded Reedling Portrait", Ian Bateson "Warbarrow Bay", Tony Darnell "Follow the Light" and Ian Hutchinson "Grey Phalarope, Breakfast Buffet" and "Redshank and Chick".

Congratulations to all the award winners and to all those members whose images were awarded Seals of Merit during the year. It was a wonderful evening with a superb showcase of the Group's work.
