This year's SCPF Championships were held on 22nd March at Littleton Memorial Hall with Winchester Photographic Society hosting the event.

There are two sections in this competition, Prints and PDIs (Digital images) and clubs who are members of the SCPF (Southern Counties Photographic Federation) are eligible to submit up to 15 images in each section. Beaulieu Camera Group entered the PDI section with an entry of 15 images. The three judges this year were Sandie Cox EFIAP ARPS DPAGB (Western Counties PF), Eddie Hyde FRPS (Surrey PA) and Ralph Snook EFIAP/s ARPS DPAGB (Western Counties PF). Each judge can award a mark of between 2 and 5 giving a range of between 6 and 15. The marks for each club are added together for the final table of results .

A total of 41 clubs entered the PDI section and Beaulieu Camera Group is delighted that we finished in 8th place. This is a tremendous result as we are one of the smallest clubs in the SCPF but have so many great photographers producing a large range of work to choose from. Images fom eleven different BCG members were in our selection, confirming our ethos of inclusivity within the Group.

Congratulations to all our members whose work represented BCG. Both Bob Abbot with "Bearded Reedling Portrait" and Vanessa Bateson with "Evening in New York" achieved a score of 12* meaning that one judge gave a score of 5. Four other members achieved a score of 13 - Ian Bateson "Matera Sunset", Hilary Flaxman CPAGB "Mother and Cubs, Arctic Ocean", Ian Hutchinson "Herring Gull Dispute" and Rob Snellgrove LRPS "The Hooded Man".
