The PDI of the Year competition was held on 6th December with Alison Cawley ARPS DPAGB as our judge for the occasion.
Seventy one images, which had been awarded Seals of Merit during the year from the four PDI competitions, plus the set subject, which this year was Song Titles, competed for the title. Alison did an admiral job of assessing the images, which she considered were all of a very high standard.
She initially held back 34 of the images in order to compare those of the same genre, as well as review them all again.
After much thought, Alison selected six images to give a mark of ten and from these chose her winner and the runner-up.
Congratulations go to Neil Hardy whose image “A Touch of Kindness” was awarded the trophy of PDI of the Year
and Pete Smith whose image “Tears of a Clown was the runner-up.
