Congratulations go to Jacky Daniel and Sue Dunham who have been successful in gaining the Credit Award of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain. This entitles them to use the designation CPAGB.


Jacky and Sue were presented with their Certificates by Cathryn Baldock, Chairman of Beaulieu Camera Group and Peter Rocchioccioli, President of the Southern Counties Photographic Federation.

Our PDI of the Year took place on 5th December with Barbara Holder CPAGB as the judge.
Barbara had the very difficult task of selecting a winner and second and third place from a total of 86 images which had been awarded a Seal of Merit during the year.
With a concise critique of each image, Barbara chose the following as her top images.
1st Place - Fiona Hardy "Festival at Soller

2nd Place - Hilary Flaxman "Early Evening, Hatchet Pond"

3rd Place - Barry Armstrong "Smoke Break"

Our Print of the Year Competition took place on 7th November with Barry Senior FRPS as the judge.
Twenty seven prints which had been awarded Seals of Merit during the year were eligible and vied for the title.
After an excellent critique of each image by Barry, the "Print of the Year" was awarded to Hilary Flaxman for her image "Bamburgh Castle".


In 2nd place was Cathryn Baldock with "Street Life, Shingle Street"

3rd Place was given to Barry Armstrong for "Three Boys on Cloud Nine"

Congratulations to Cathryn Baldock on receiving a Commended Award for her image "Amble Seaweed, Amble, Northumberland" in the Landscape Photographer of the Year 2018 competition.
Cathryn's image will not only appear in the wonderful book, showcasing the work of talented photographers, but also in the exhibition at London Waterloo Station from Monday 19th November 2018 to Sunday 3rd February 2019.

Cathryn Baldock won the Abstract category by overlaying multiple lily pads to show their beauty and intricacy.
